Portfolio of Creative Work Opens at the Weisman Museum
Portfolio of Creative Work, a new exhibit featuring paintings, illustrations, and photography from members of the Pepperdine Public Affairs team, will be on display at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art Tuesday, May 5, through Friday, May 8.
The Pepperdine community and general public are invited to meet the artists at a reception on Thursday, May 7, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Gregg G. Juarez Palm Courtyard adjacent to the museum.
The exhibit showcases works of art from 11 members of the Public Affairs team. Featured artists include Maz Ameli, graphic designer; Tamara Dawson, administrative assistant; Rick Gibson, associate vice president for public affairs; Ron Hall, university photographer; Allen Haren, multimedia manager/senior broadcast engineer; Keith Lungwitz, senior art director; Matthew Midura, executive director of University Communications; Gabriela Moreno, graphic designer; Nathan Pang, multimedia producer/broadcast engineer; Brett Sizemore, director of Creative Services; and Gayle Wheatley, art director.
"The featured works in this exhibit range from rich photography to rendered illustration to engaging canvases, demonstrating a wide range of artistic prowess among the Public Affairs team," Sizemore said. "We are very proud to have this opportunity to exhibit in such a prestigious venue as the Weisman."
The Weisman Museum, located on the University's Malibu campus, is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed on Mondays and major holidays. There is no admission charge.
