New Graziadio Business Report is Available Online

The fourth issue of the 2009 Graziadio Business Report, which publishes four times annually, has hit the Web and can be read, shared and commented on at http://gbr.pepperdine.edu.

As a scholarly online journal, the Graziadio Business Report (GBR) delivers relevant information and analysis for business, government, and non-profit managers. This edition touches on topics ranging from women's attitudes toward debt, risk, and consumption, to developing a contingency plan for when diversification strategies fail.

New in this issue, the GBR Blog is producing video interviews with Graziadio School faculty and other thought leaders on how business managers can benefit from their research. Access the latest video interviews published on the blog here, or sign up for the GBR Blog RSS feed in a reader or by e-mail.

Highlights of the final 2009 issue include a video interview with Sun Microsystem's Terry McKenzie, senior director of global employee communications and communities, about "How to Communicate Change to Employees." Graziadio Associate Professor Charla Griffy-Brown and Babu Palanisamy, MS, and MBA, offer cost-effective IT solutions and critical success factors for owners of smaller ventures in their article, “IT Strategy for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in an Economic Downturn."

Graziadio Dean Linda Livingstone contributes her editorial, "Eight Key Attributes of Effective Leaders," in which she draws on wisdom from speakers of the Dean's Executive Leadership Series (DELS), which features in-depth interviews with today's top business practitioners and thought leaders.

The new issue also includes "Book Corner," in which various reviewers assess 12 new business books such as Take No Prisoners: A No-Holds-Barred Approach to Corporate Excellence, by By Marvin A. Davis, and House of Cards: A Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess on Wall Street by William D. Cohan.

Readers can also listen to an audio interview with Larry Tanz, president and co-founder of Agility Studios, who discusses "What's Next, Hollywood?" with Nancy Ellen Dodd, editor of the Graziadio Business Report.

The Graziadio Business Report is a publication of the Graziadio School of Business and Management of Pepperdine University. GBR's offices are located at Pepperdine's West Los Angeles campus. For more information or to subscribe, visit the Web site or contact the GBR staff at gbr@pepperdine.edu.
