Pepperdine Releases Latest Issue of the Graziadio Business Review Online

The latest issue of the Graziadio Business Review, which the Graziadio School of Business and Management publishes four times annually, has hit the Web and can be read, shared, and commented on at http://gbr.pepperdine.edu.

As a scholarly online journal, the Graziadio Business Review (GBR) delivers relevant information and analysis for business, government, and non-profit managers. This edition touches on topics ranging from the early stages of entrepreneurialism to Facebook as a tool for predicting outcomes of volatile financial markets.

Highlights of this issue include a video panel of Pepperdine professors David Accomazzo, Edward Fredericks, Clemens Kownatzki, and Michael Shires in a discussion titled, "Wall of Worry: Elections and the Markets," about how various important international elections in the U.S., Russia, France, and Italy, will impact financial markets and how investors might prepare.

In an article titled "Facilitating the Inventor-Entrepreneur Interaction," professor Larry Cox explores how a university-neutral foundation could commercialize technologies by encouraging dialogue between entrepreneurs and inventors. Meanwhile Jhony Choon Yeong Ng discusses "Implementing Intrapreneurship" in an article exploring ways in which organizations can gain a sustainable competitive advantage through intrapreneurship.

A number of articles feature the research of writing partners or groups, including "Bridging the Complexity Gap" about how leaders will have to respond to how globalization, I.T., economic and political instability, and climate change may create a level of new interdependence; "A No Fault Approach to Recouping Executive Compensation" delves into the controversial paychecks of top executives; whether or not financial markets could predict, manipulate, or influence changes or outcomes based upon data of social media users is examined in "Facebook: Data Mining and the World's Largest Focus Group;" and "The Four-Year U.S. Presidential Cycle and the Stock Market" discusses stock market behavior during election seasons from 2004 to 2012.

The Graziadio Business Review is a publication of the Graziadio School of Business and Management of Pepperdine University. GBR's offices are located at Pepperdine's West Los Angeles campus. For more information or to subscribe, visit the Web site or contact the GBR staff at gbr@pepperdine.edu.
