Pepperdine Celebrates 2010 Graduations

School of Public Policy Commencement

Cathryn Kingsbury Diane Glazer Guilford Glazer
Cathryn J. Kingsbury ('97, MPP '99), a principal lobbyist for the bipartisan government relations and affairs firm, the Livingstone Group, will be honored as the Distinguished Alumnus. Diane Pregerson Glazer and her husband Guilford Glazer, cofounders of the Diane and Guilford Glazer Institute for Jewish Studies at Pepperdine University, will each receive an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree.

 president and CEO of the 
Kauffman Foundation, will address the graduates and be honored with an Honorary Doctorate of Laws Award. Dave Bowman ('98),
vice president and general manager of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, will be honored as the Distinguished Alumnus.

Huell Howser Huell Howser, the 20-year host and tour guide of California Gold on PBS, will address the graduates and receive an Honorary Doctorate. John T. Elyn Saks Honorary Doctorate recipient Elyn R. Saks, law, psychology, and psychiatry professor at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and author of The Center Cannot Hold: My Journey Through Madness, will address the graduates. Elizabeth Laugeston, a clinical instructor at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, will be honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Liz Laugeston

Michael Guillen Honorary Doctorate recipient Michael Arthur Guillen, former ABC News Science Editor who regularly appeared on Good Morning America, 20/20, Nightline, and World News Tonight, will address the graduates. Tod Burnet, president of Saddleback College, will be honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
