Spring Service: Project Serve 2011
Pepperdine students participating in Project Serve 2011 used their Spring Break as an opportunity to assist communities around the world in building homes, mentoring children, providing medical care, and fostering faith. During the first week of March, students—and two alumni groups— traveled out of the country to serve in Fiji, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Panama, among others, as well as a number of locations within the United States such as Waco, Texas, New York City, and the San Carlos Apache Reservation.
Pepperdine's alternative spring break program offers hope to communities in need, while enriching the lives of the members of the student-led teams with a different kind of vacation: one of service, growth, relationships, and memorable experiences.
