Karen Elliott House, former publisher of the Wall Street Journal and author of On Saudi Arabia: Its People, Past, Religion, Fault Lines – and Future, will receive an Honorary Degree.

Jeffrey Jones (MPP '02), assistant director and research fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, will be honored as a Distinguished Alumnus.

Blake Irving

Al Plamann, chief executive officer of Unified Grocers, the largest retailer-owned wholesale grocery cooperative in the western United States, will receive an Honorary Degree. Blake Irving (MBA '88), chief executive officer and board director of Go Daddy, the world's largest domain name provider and web host, will be honored as a Distinguished Alumnus.

Paul Reim

Blake Mycoskie, the founder and chief shoe giver of TOMS and the person behind the idea of One for One, will address the graduates and receive an Honorary Degree.

Paul H. Reim ('83), principal/founder of Reim Advisors, LLC, a real estate investment advisory firm located in Newport Beach, will be honored as a Distinguished Alumnus.

Gil Purcell (JD '83), senior trial partner at Brayton Purcell LLC and the premier asbestos trial lawyer, will deliver the commencement address and receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Ken Pargament, professor of psychology at Bowling Green State University, will receive an Honorary Degree.

Laura Skandera Trombley, the fifth president of Pitzer College, a noted Mark Twain scholar, and a nationally recognized champion of liberal arts education, will receive an Honorary Degree.
