Late Night Security Escorts. Public Safety offers security escorts between 8:00pm and 2:00am, seven days a week during the fall and spring semesters. Call ext. 4442 to request an escort. At all other times, security escorts are provided by public safety officers assigned to the regular shift.
Medical Escorts. Students in need of on campus transportation due to illness or injury may contact Public Safety for a medical escort.
Local road conditions. Information (when Pacific Coast Highway, Kanan Dume Road or Malibu Canyon Road are closed by authorities, this information will be posted on the road conditions sign at the Main Lot booth.) call (310) 506 ROAD or from on campus call ext. Entry into vehicle with keys locked inside. A Public Safety Officer can assist when an individual is locked out of their vehicle. Please call ext. 4442. This service is provided as a courtesy. The University does not assume liability for damage as a result of this service.
Jump start vehicle with a dead battery. A Public Safety Officer can assist in jump starting a dead car battery. Please call ext. 4442. This service is provided as a courtesy. The University does not assume liability for damage as a result of this service.

Hertz On Demand. In addition to the frequent on-campus & Malibu Shopping shuttles six days each week, Pepperdine offers car rental on campus. Car sharing allows members, at least 18 years old, an environmentally-friendly, economical alternative to bringing a car to campus. The cars are available 24/7 and rental rates, as low as $6.80 per hour, include fuel, maintenance, roadside assistance, insurance, cleaning and parking. Hertz On Demand members enjoy a paperless program where they can reserve, drive and return vehicles all on their own, via the internet or phone.
In car, a hands-free audio kit connects members to a Member Care Center representative should they have questions, need assistance or need to extend their rental. The in-car technology also enables Hertz to 'communicate' with the vehicle enabling representatives to unlock, engage and locate vehicles. The technologically savvy cars are also equipped with iPod connectivity and NeverLost® in-car navigation system.
