Type: Youth Minister
Salary:
Description: The Mesa Church of Christ located in Mesa, AZ is accepting applications for a full time Youth Minister. With a population of approximately 440,000, Mesa is located 20 miles east of Phoenix and is a part of the Phoenix metro area. Cost of living is lower in Mesa than the national average. Homes are substantially cheaper as well. Home to the spring training programs of the Oakland Athletics and Chicago Cubs, we host 200 MLB pre-season games each spring. For those who enjoy an active lifestyle, we have over 2,280 acres of parkland. If you have more of an artistic flair, you will find art almost everywhere you look. And of course, the word Mesa literally means “table” so you know that the food here is amazing. Initially founded more than 70 years ago, the Mesa Church of Christ is one of the largest and most well established congregations in the greater Phoenix area. As it exists today, the Mesa church body consists of two sub-congregations - one English-speaking and the other Spanish-speaking. Together the two congregations make up a body of more than 450 Christian brothers and sisters. We are served by 6 elders, 23 deacons and 4 full time ministers. The vision of the Mesa congregation is “reaching up” (consistently striving to be ever more like God our father), “reaching out” (living in Christian service to those around us), and “reaching in” (edifying one another through the growth and development of the church body). With this hire we seek to restructure our traditional youth and family minister position into two separate roles. For the Youth Minister, Mesa is seeking a dynamic, Christ centered minister who can coordinate biblically sound learning opportunities that result in a strong foundation of faith and knowledge. We desire a man that can teach and empower parents to lead their families in a Christ like manner. While all applications are welcome, we would prefer to hire a man who is married with a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, counseling, education or ministry with at least 2-3 years of experience. A complete Job Description may be found on our church website (www.mesachurch.org). Applications are being accepted from January 4, 2016 through March 11, 2016. Send cover letter and resume to: mesayouth@ministermatch.com and be sure to note the Youth Minister position since we are also hiring for a Family Minister at the present time (Criminal Record & Background Check may be required).

Description: Student Minister/Worship Minister/Connections Minister (2 Positions) RRCOC is a Christ-centered, outsider-oriented church in Round Rock, TX (just outside of Austin) devoted to a simple and challenging mission: To live love. We take seriously Christ’s call to reach those who are far from God, and we continually seek out ways to bring our practices into alignment with that priority. We have three available ministry roles: Student, Connections, and Worship. We believe the Student Ministry requires the equivalent of a full time job, while the Worship and Connections Ministries are each part-time roles (but together require the equivalent of a full time job). Thus we plan to hire two ministers to fulfill these three roles. We are not strictly tied to hiring a Student Minister as one job and hiring a Connections/Worship Minister for the other job. If God leads to us a Student/Connections Minister and a Student/Worship Minister, that would be wonderful. The chief responsibility of the Student Minister is catalyzing Spirit-led transformation in students (6th through 12th grade) through inspirational teaching and leading. This includes encouraging the students to be more active in their personal walk with Jesus, our church body, and the community. The chief responsibility of the Worship Minister is to architect a weekly gathering which engages the congregation in creative, meaningful worship that deepens faith and spurs life change. The Worship Minister will collaboratively design and lead such gatherings in conversation with the staff. The chief responsibility of the Connections Minister is to architect easy-to-navigate paths that lead people from their first visit through their second year at RRCOC in a way that connects them to God, other individuals at RRCOC, and our church as a whole. Success for the Connections Ministry is for first-time attenders, regardless of where they may be on their journey of faith, to become committed disciples of Christ who are strongly connected to our church and committed to our mission to “Live love.” A large aspect of this ministry is to collaboratively lead RRCOC’s Small Groups ministry.
