This landmark, the Ponte Vecchio was the only bridge left standing following both World Wars in Florence.  Its name literally means the “Old Bridge.” Lined with fine jewelry shops and topped by the Vasari Corridor, the Ponte Vecchio is truly one of Florence’s most enduring icons.
