Steve Rodriguez: Pepperdine Tradition
Rodriguez, a fifth-round draft pick of the Boston Red Sox in 1992, played professionally for seven seasons with the Red Sox, the Detroit Tigers, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Montreal Expos. Pepperdine Volleyball Wins National Title
With more than 400 college head coaching victories, Marv Dunphy says he has "the best volleyball job in the world." He led the Waves to their first rst national championship in 1978, and again in 1985. During a sabbatical from Pepperdine, Dunphy led Team U.S.A. to a Gold Medal at the 1988 Olympics. After returning, he led Pepperdine to its fourth NCAA championship in 1992, and its fifth fth on May 7, 2005. [more]
