WRAP UP OUTSTANDING YEAR WITH WCC COMMISSIONER'S CUP
Pepperdine University has claimed its second
consecutive Commissioner's Cup as the finest athletic
program in the West Coast Conference (WCC). The Waves
completed a sweep by winning both the Men's and Women's
All-Sports awards.

Pepperdine has won or shared WCC titles in seven
sports to date this season-women's basketball, men's
golf, women's golf, women's soccer, men's tennis,
women's tennis, and women's volleyball. Additionally,
Pepperdine won regular season Mountain Pacific Sports
Federation titles in men's volleyball and water polo.
Nine Waves teams received invitations to compete in
postseason play. Women's golf finished the year as the
nation's second best team, while water polo and men's
volleyball closed out the year rated No. 3. Women's
volleyball secured an "Elite Eight" finish,
and women's soccer won its first-ever WCC title and
advanced to wrap the season rated as high as No. 6 in
the final polls. Women's basketball was the only team
from the Los Angeles area in men's or women's basketball
to advance to the NCAA tournament and was recognized by
the Boston Globe as having the highest graduation rate
(100 percent) among all teams in the women's NCAA
basketball field. Baseball, women's tennis, men's
tennis, and men's golf also qualified for postseason
play.
