Volunteer Opportunities: Ongoing Programs
WHAT IS FIRST BOOK? The primary goal of First Book is to work with existing literacy programs to distribute new books to children who, for economic reasons, have little or no access to books. Since its inception, First Book has provided nearly 30 million new books to children in need in hundreds of communities nationwide.
WHERE DO I FIT IN? We are looking for volunteers to be on the First Book Campus Advisory Board. This Board serves as the core leadership of First Book at Pepperdine and is responsible for organizing fundraising events, outreach opportunities and manages the grant application process. The Campus Advisory Board is a service opportunity that is open to students, staff, faculty and alumni.
If you are an organization who would like to apply for book distribution, please visit the First Book webpage for more information.
