What is Waves of Service?
The Waves of Service movement celebrates, supports, and connects Pepperdine alumni committed to volunteerism and careers of service. The vision of Waves of Service is to become the most active alumni service movement in the world.
Celebrating
Waves of Service awards thousands of dollars each year to Pepperdine community members who live service-driven lives. Waves of Service also celebrates alumni in service fields by increasing awareness of their work through Pepperdine and other media channels. Supporting
The Waves of Service Leader network brings together alumni from around the world who work in careers of service. These leaders are provided with tools and resources to support their service work, like free education and networking events. We also assist organizations in posting and promoting volunteer and internship opportunities to the Pepperdine community.
Connecting
Students and alumni can connect to Waves of Service Leaders by volunteering or interning for their organizations, participating in a service project, or attending a Waves of Service event. Moreover, our staff constantly connects organizations to one another for partnerships and resources. Waves of Service provides a free Leader directory to facilitate these connections.
