Deryck J. van Rensburg
Deryck J. van Rensburg began his career with Pepperdine in 2016. Van Rensburg is committed to creating a transformative learning experience for students, and under his leadership, Graziadio Business School has developed several highly ranked graduate business programs that immerse students in experience-driven learning and forward-thinking curricula. He came to the University with 32 years of business experience across eight countries with the Coca-Cola Company and Unilever PLC. At Coca-Cola, he was president of global ventures reporting to their chairman and CEO and previously held division president roles over operating units in both established markets (Germany and the Nordics) and emerging markets (Eastern Europe and the Middle East).
Van Rensburg has received the honor of being named one of the Los Angeles Business Journal's LA 500, LA's Most Influential People in 2018, 2019, and 2020. He was nominated to the Global Corporate Venturing Powerlist 100 in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and was chosen by Advertising Age as one of 21 "influencers" reshaping media and marketing. His community service activities include serving as a board member of Focus on the Family.
He holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Rhodes University, an MBA from the University of Bath, and a DBA from the University of Manchester.
