Provost Brewster has continued funding for a round of internal grants for unanticipated needs related to scholarship. These Provost Grants are for tenured and tenure-track faculty in the graduate and professional schools who may have immediate or pending financial support needs for a scholarship project. These grants ($1,000 - $3,000) may be used for a variety of needs related to research and scholarship. Faculty should submit a brief (2-3 pages) proposal describing the project and how the funds will be used. Proposals, approved by the appropriate dean, as well as a current C.V. should be submitted through the Internal Research Programs - Application Form by October 31, 2022, to be considered for the priority deadline. However, ongoing submissions are allowable after October 31 and are reviewed monthly. Decisions will be made and notification letters will be sent out by mid-December. Upon receiving an award letter, faculty may begin using the grant for their research endeavors. Any funds that are awarded must be used by July 15, 2023. Funded projects will be expected to complete the Internal Research Report Form by August 15, 2023.
