Saturday, September 10

Put a little extra "Pepp" in your step and join the Colorado "Mile High" Waves at one of two locations for Step Forward Day 2016! On Saturday, September 10, the "Mile High" Waves will be making twice the difference by partnering with both Denver Rescue Mission and Denver Public Schools. Pick the place closest to you (or nearest to your heart) and celebrate Pepperdine's mission of purpose, service, and leadership!

10 AM - 1 PM: Denver Public Schools

Join the Colorado "Mile High" Waves to partner with Denver Public Schools for a morning of service! Widely recognized today as one of the best urban school systems in the country, Denver Public Schools serves the residents of the City and County of Denver, Colorado by providing children in Denver with rigorous, enriching educational opportunities from preschool through high school graduation. The "Mile High" Waves will be helping with campus beautification, such as cleaning, painting, exterior clean-up, and yard work. Everyone ages 10 and up is welcome to participate in this fun-filled service project.

10:30 AM - 1:30 PM: Denver Rescue Mission

Join the Colorado "Mile High" Waves to partner with Denver Rescue Mission for a day of service! Denver Rescue Mission's Lawrence Street Shelter provides emergency care to the poor and homeless and is an entry point for many of their New Life Program participants. The "Mile High" Waves will be helping serve lunch to the local homeless community in Downtown Denver. Everyone ages 13 and up is welcome to participate in this fun-filled service project.
