Seaver College Spring 2021 | May 18 Update
Tickets with the QR code will be emailed to the graduate for distribution to their
guest(s) starting Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Graduates will have the ability to forward
the tickets to all guests.
At the ceremony site, guests will be required to present either a printed hard copy ticket or display the ticket on their phones. Attendees who do not receive their tickets are encouraged to contact their graduates. Other frequently asked questions can be found on the commencement FAQs webpage.
For guests not able to attend in person, a livestream link to the commencement ceremonies, as well as a digital version of the commencement programs, will be available on the Seaver graduation webpages.
Guest attendance is limited by regulations set forth by the State of California and
Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
Please confirm with your graduates the section you are sitting in and make sure you come prepared with the proper documentation.
California residents are eligible to attend the commencement ceremonies. If you are a California resident who opted to sit in the fully vaccinated seating section, you must present a valid a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card evidencing your fully vaccinated status. For the purposes of this guidance, a person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the last recommended dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (CDC). Guests in the fully vaccinated section will be required to wear masks but will be seated without social distancing requirements. In compliance with state and county COVID-19 guidelines, all individuals seated in fully vaccinated seating will have their vaccination status verified by the University.
Guests who reside outside of California are required to be fully vaccinated in order to attend the ceremonies. For the purposes
of this guidance, a person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving
the last recommended dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (CDC). Guests must be able to present
their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card on the day of the commencement ceremony.
All guests ages 2 and older must have a printed or electronic ticket for admission. In accordance with state and country directives, all guests age 16 and older will be required to present a state-issued identification (e.g., driver's license or similar) that indicates their state of residence in order to gain entry to the commencement ceremony. All guests who are not residents of California will be required to present a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card evidencing their fully vaccinated status.
Any guest without a ticket and valid identification, or required vaccination documentation, will be turned away.
Guests will either be seated in household groups with six feet of physical distance between each group or in the fully vaccinated seating section without physical distancing.
Guests must proceed to their seats upon arrival and remain seated for the duration of the ceremony.
All seating will be assigned. Tickets listing your seating assignment will be emailed to the graduate for distribution to their guests 24 hours prior to the ceremony. Pepperdine campus will only be open to graduates and those with tickets to attend.
Please be sure to take family photos with your graduate before arriving on campus. Guests and graduates must immediately proceed to separate check-in areas upon arrival and remain seated for the entire ceremony. You will not be able to take photos on campus. A professional photographer will take a photo of your graduate immediately after they cross the stage, and regalia must be returned following the commencement ceremony.
Please note that concessions will not be available at the ceremony. Bottled water will be provided. There is limited shade at Alumni Park. Sunscreen, hats, and protective sun wear are recommended. Please be aware of weather conditions and plan accordingly.
