Pepperdine Choir to Perform Mozart's Requiem

On Thursday, April 16, at 7:30 PM, the Pepperdine Concert Choir will perform Mozart's Requiem at Smothers Theatre, Malibu. Under the direction of Ryan Board, the singers from the Concert Choir will join Malibu High School choirs and the Los Robles Children's Choir to perform its annual Masterworks Concert.

The Concert Choir is the largest mixed performing group made up of all music majors and/or music award recipients, as well as talented singers from other disciplines throughout the Seaver campus. The Concert Choir performs a variety of literature, which includes the performance  of a large masterwork once each year.

Board, director of choral activities at Pepperdine University, continues to garner international attention as a conductor, choral artist, teacher, and clinician. In his role as director of choral activities at Pepperdine, Board directs the Pepperdine Concert Choir and the Pepperdine Chamber Choir and teaches courses in conducting, music history, and music education. His research interests focus on rhetoric and affections in the sacred vocal music of the Baroque Era.
