Pepperdine Caruso School of Law to Launch Race and the Law Series


Pepperdine Caruso School of Law - Race and the Law Series Throughout October and November 2020, Chalak Richards (JD '12), the first-ever assistant dean of student life, diversity, and belonging at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, will lead online discussions with various Caruso Law faculty as part of the Race and the Law Series.

Based on Dorothy Brown's book, Critical Race Theory, which examines doctrinal subjects through the lens of race and diversity, the Race and the Law Series will explore the following topics on the Zoom platform:

October 22 | 1 PM PDT

  • "Race and Property Law" featuring Shelley Ross Saxer, Laure Sudreau Endowed Professor of Law

  • "Race and Civil Procedure" featuring Ahmed Taha, Professor of Law
