Psychology Professor Thema Bryant-Davis (MDiv '16) to Present Research at United Nations Psychology Day


Thema Bryant-Davis - Pepperdine UniversityThema Bryant-Davis (M Div’16), professor of psychology and director of the Culture and Trauma Research Lab at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, will present her research on trauma recovery, relief, and empowerment for marginalized populations at United Nations Psychology Day on April 15, 2021. With five invited psychology experts at this year’s event, the goal of this meeting each April is to examine how psychological discoveries and methods can address mental health issues on an international scale. 

The title and theme of Psychology Day 2021 is “Psychological Contributions to Building Back Better in a Post-Pandemic World,” and Bryant-Davis will address ways to expand and improve mental health treatment services for all individuals, including underrepresented groups. She will also explore equitable treatments of communities with limited resources.
