Next Gen Preacher Search

The Next Gen Preacher Search is a unique outreach to young Christian students in high schools and colleges across the country who have an interest in preaching and teaching. Designed to encourage and inspire young people towards the ministry of God's word, it is an open invitation for students to submit a 5-minute video of their speaking for review and critique.

These videos will be viewed by a panel of gifted and experienced preachers for feedback and coaching. Approximately 20 of the submissions will be chosen as semi-finalists to receive special training and support. The semi-finalists will be invited to Pepperdine's beautiful Malibu campus for a two-day workshop in February where they will receive more coaching from a team of preachers including Jeff Walling, Randy Harris, Mike Cope, and other gifted Bible teachers. They will not only coach the students in presentation skills, but they will encourage them in their pursuit of a preaching ministry career.

At the conclusion of the event, the students will be filmed inside giving a lesson inside Stauffer Chapel. From these recordings, four will be chosen as finalists who will present their lessons before over 25,000 Christians at gatherings across the country including venues like the North American Christian Convention and Harbor: Pepperdine Bible Lectures.
