* Oversee all children's Bible classes (nursery through fifth grade). This includes curriculum, recruiting and developing teachers, and providing updates for children, families, and volunteers for church database (Breeze).
* Oversee Children's Worship (Sundays, 8:30 and 10:30) and Wednesday Children's Opening (7:00-7:10). Assist in planning, recruiting, leading, and the development of volunteers.
* Child and Youth Protection Team member. The CYPT consists of five members. Two members are the Youth Minister and the Children's Minister. The Children's Minister coordinates the background checks for all volunteers working with children and youth. The CYPT coordinates annual training for all volunteers.
* Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating with others to provide regular activities for children and families in the church and community. These include VBS, Fall Fest, Valentine's Family Date Night, field trips, Christmas Program, Blessing of the Children Sunday, Baby Dedication Sunday, special presentations by children during worship, etc.
* Maintain open communication between families, volunteers, and church leaders. Currently this is promoted through the use of social media (FB, webpage, Instagram, etc.), announcements in the church online bulletin, images for church announcements and online, texts, emails, etc.
* Integral part of the church leadership team. The Children's Minister is a part of staff and shepherds' meetings and is a vital advocate for children, families, volunteers, and all members of the Grand Central Church.

PRIMARY:

University Church of Christ
General Summary
This is a ministry position to serve the Lord and his church with a passion and sincere love for God in the area of Youth and Family Ministry. This ministry should promote growth in relationship with the Lord, relationships with one another and outreach to the lost. The purpose is to glorify God in word, worship and daily lives.
Scope of Responsibility
The Youth and Family Minister will work within the vision and mission of the University church, under the direction of its Shepherds and through coordination with a ministry team (Youth and Family deacons, Youth and Family committee, volunteer adults, parents and teens). He will be accountable to the Shepherds and will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities, functions, and events for the youth group (primarily) and family ministries. He is expected to be the leader and to provide the guidance necessary to get the best results from the program. He will coordinate ministry planning and facilitation with ministry leaders, deacons, parents, and adult volunteers and keep the Shepherds advised. His life must be a model that demonstrates he is a faithful Christian, husband and/or father. He must always set a proper example of Christian behavior.
General Expectations:
* Evaluate, review, and propose directive solutions on the future and overall health of the University Youth Group (UYG) and Family ministries based on member interviews, family feedback, and general assessment by being involved.
* Be responsible for the leadership and direction of the youth and family ministry at University.
* Facilitate, Coordinate, and Teach (as necessary) Sunday morning classes geared toward middle and high school aged kids. These classes should foster discipleship, strong biblical principles, and a Christ-like love for one another.
* Develop teams of parents, adult volunteers, and mentors to assist with this ministry within the established goals, objectives, and plans.
* Function as a valuable part of the ministry team and staff at University.
* Be available to the youth, parents and church members as needed.
* Manage youth budgets including van, travel, events, etc.
* Establish and have written goals for this ministry program and have a detailed plan on how to accomplish and reach goals.
* Be available to preach as needed or directed
* Attend all church services and Bible classes as agreed to.
* Advise the Shepherds of any special problems, issues and/or conflicts with youth, family and/or parents.
* Provide a regular status report to the Elders concerning assessments, concerns, and general feedback concerning the future and overall health of the program.
* Develop and Train summer youth interns

Qualifications:

"description": "The Griffin Road Church of Christ is an a cappella congregation located in western Broward County, Florida. Our preacher is retiring after 24 years of service and moving to be close to grandchildren. This is a full-time position for the English-speaking portion of our congregation. Primary duties include preaching and teaching weekly, visitation, evangelism, and some administrative work. We use state of the art audio/visual equipment in our auditorium, so technical skills are helpful. The church is about 150 since the pandemic, including a Spanish ministry, which is served by a part-time Spanish preacher.
The ideal candidate would be firm in his faith and possess the training, experience, and temperament to interact with multiple generations and people from multiple cultures.
Our leadership team includes Elders and Deacons and was reorganized right before the pandemic lockdown. We have parents who are actively involved in the Youth program. Every summer we have a group of teens attend Central Florida Bible Camp, and every September they also attend Sonquest, a statewide youth gathering in Orlando.
We presently support two preachers in Cuba. Our Spanish Minister travels twice a year to Havana to conduct Bachelors and post-graduate level training for Cuban preachers. In the past, we have sent groups to Peru for summer mission trips, and to Honduras with TORCH missions.
We have had numerous high school graduates who have attended Christian universities, like Harding, Lipscomb, and Faulkner.
Nearby Ft. Lauderdale is a famous vacation destination, and the area enjoys beautiful weather, a wide range of entertainment opportunities, and a wonderful mix of cultures. We are bordered by West Palm Beach to the north, Miami to the south, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the legendary Florida Everglades to the west. Culturally speaking, South Florida is unique. CORPORATE WORSHIP: Work alongside the worship team to assist in planning meaningful personal and corporate worship that brings people into the presence of an awesome and Holy God. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Seven plus years experience in effective Biblical teaching, preaching in a pastoral/ministry role focused on discipleship and equipping.

MISSION:
The mission is to develop genuine, personal faith in our teens.
Teens should be spiritually equipped and prepared for life after high school and when they leave home and enter college or the workplace. Teens should be led to respect and apply biblical scripture as their guide through this life and to the life to come.
MINISTRY:
This ministry leads our youth in grades seven through twelve through personal experiences with Bible-based application. The youth minister partners with parents and church leaders to facilitate spiritual development in our youth. This ministry should provide the support of healthy relationships with peers, parents, and other Christians of all ages and circumstances.
The Youth Minister Position is a full-time position. Day-to-day direction and guidance will be provided by the elders. If they are unavailable, he should speak with the preaching minister. While the wife is not being hired, we believe ministry is best performed as a team. We ask that the wife be present and active with the youth and church. We believe the wife serves as a role model for our young ladies, and we hope she would make herself available for them to come to when needed.
Teens have many peers but should look to you as a mentor in faith and life. As a leader at a critical time in the lives of young people, you should use your experience as a former teen, but you should no longer conduct yourself as one. You and your wife are to model Christ and present yourself as professional at all times.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Present an appropriate image and example to the youth and congregation.
- Develop and coordinate all activities with other staff to ensure a high level of communication.
- Assist to coordinate and implement Vacation Bible School and Leadership Training for Christ with other staff and church volunteers.
- Administratively responsible for the planning of the youth ministry budget.
- Develop and implement short-range and long-range goals for this ministry.
- Communicate vision, goals, and strategy of Youth Ministry to church leadership, youth, parents, and the congregation.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate retreats, mission trips, camps, service activities, etc.
- Serve as the primary leader and Bible teacher for the Youth Ministry-age Bible Classes.
- At least one night a week, have something for the group, a devo or Bible study, outside of Sunday or Wednesday.
- Develop intentional relationships with all the youth.
- Work to ensure consistency with multi-year Bible study guide.

- Maintain flexible working hours as determined by the needs of the ministry and office staff with typical core hours of 9a-4p. It is understood that a large portion of the youth minister's work will take place outside of the office. Time out will be coordinated with the preaching minister.
- Meet with the elders to keep them up to date and informed on the progress and plans of the ministry.
- Keep parents and elders informed when particular teen issues and activities might be going beyond what is usually assumed or expected.
- Work alongside the preaching minister (who will also function as a mentor).
- Work in coordination with the youth deacon.
- Actively seek parent participation and other members of the congregation who may express interest in helping.
- Seek opportunities to take an interest in and observe individual youth activities (e.g. sports, music, FFA, etc.) outside of church.
- Be \"community-minded\" by reaching outside the congregation to the youth of the community; be visible at schools and activities.
- Assist with the leading of worship as needed.
- Fill in preaching when the preaching minister is out of town.
- Other responsibilities assigned as the need arises.

The Garden City Church of Christ located in a growing community in the Southwest area of Kansas, is seeking a married minister who defines his ministry as preaching, teaching and equipping others to serve.
We are a congregation of 80+ members who seek to be Jesus by loving and serving each other and our community. We are seeking a preacher who wants to work and minister alongside us.

Job Description
Central Church of Christ - Youth Minister
Overview: The youth minister will serve the family of believers at the Central church of Christ in Topeka, Kansas - a family of believers partnering on the journey of life in an effort to glorify God through serving, sharing, and supporting. Although his specific calling will be 7th-12th graders and their families, the youth minister is expected to be involved in ministry throughout the congregation and the community.
Important areas of focus for the youth minister will be building a strong youth program, involvement in Leadership Training for Christ, and involvement in Tallgrass Christian Camp.
Job Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the curriculum for the middle and high school classes and participate in teaching the classes.
* Assist families in the spiritual formation of their children.
* Plan and coordinate youth events throughout the school year and summer.
* Lend support of and assist with coaching Leadership Training for Christ.
* Build Christ-centered relationships with the teens, their families, and the congregation.
* Encourage and teach the youth to develop their skills as leaders.
* Communicate regularly with the youth, their parents, church leaders and the congregation to ensure an effective youth program.
* Assist the ministry team as needed in congregation-wide activities, education, and visitation.
* Other duties as assigned by the elders.
Job Qualifications:
* Faithful member of the churches of Christ.
* Demonstrates Biblical and doctrinal soundness.
* Self-motivated and possesses spiritual and moral maturity.
* Able to speak to large audiences in a confident and articulate manner.
* Bachelor's degree, or higher. Bible or ministry majors preferred.
