Peter Thompson, Director

Peter Thompson - Pepperdine University

Peter Thompson started with as director of the Pepperdine Volunteer Center in January of 2011. Prior to working at Pepperdine, Peter and his wife, Katy, served in the Peace Corps in Ukraine for two years. Peter attended TCU for undergrad and received his master's degree from University of North Texas.

Anthony Rivero, Assistant Director


Anthony Rivero started with the Volunteer Center in August 2013. Anthony is a graduate of UC Irvine and was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. Anthony graduated with degrees in Political Science and English.

Stacy Rouse, Jumpstart Coordinator

Stacy joined the PVC in August 2017 after serving in the Chaplain's Office for a few years. Stacy has a background of professional experience in various nonprofit and school settings. Stacy is a graduate of Abilene Christine University with a degree in Journalism. Stacy loves Pepperdine and is honored to serve the students of Jumpstart.

Courtney Smyth, Administrative Coordinator


Courtney joined the PVC in 2018 and after graduating from Seaver College. She graduated in 2018 with a degree in International Studies.  She is a Bay Area native and brings a wealth of experience in service related fields. 

Stephanie Gatbonton, Student Affairs Intern

Stephanie Gatbonton - Pepperdine University

Stephaie started with the PVC in August 2018. Stephanie grew up in the San Fernando Valley and received her B.S. from Cal State Northridge. Stephanie is seeking a master's degree in Psychology from Pepperdine Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
