Destination College Hosted by The Fulfillment Fund
October 3, 2009 

Established in 1977, the Fulfillment Fund's purpose is to mentor, counsel and guide disadvantaged high school students to achieve a college education. In Los Angeles, the average high school graduation rate is less than 50%. Fulfillment Fund students defy this statistic by graduating from high school and going on to college. Most of their students are first generation, thus making them the first in their family to reach this milestone.

Destination College is an event that brings hundreds of disadvantaged high school students to a college campus for a day of workshops and seminars that aim to educate senior high school students and their parents about the college experience. This year's event will take place at Pepperdine and we need you to volunteer to be a host for the day.

Pepperdine student volunteers are needed to help facilitate activities, share their personal college experiences with the high school students, and help with general event support.

Red Cross Blood Drive
October 20, 21 & 22 

Did you know that 1pint of donated blood can save up to 3 lives?  Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate. There is no substitute for your donation. The Red Cross will be on campus on October 20, 21 & 22 making it easy for you to give blood.  Please make an appointment today!  Please review the donor eligibility guidelines to be sure you can donate.
