Become a Jumpstart Corps Member
Serve in your local community while impacting the life of a child through Jumpstart! Jumpstart is currently hiring Corps members for the 08-09 school year. Corps members volunteer in local preschool classrooms to improve the literacy, language and social initiative skills of their partner children.
As a Corp member you will have the opportunity to:
- Inspire children to develop a love of learning
- Provide one-to-one attention to help children succeed in school and in life
- Work on a team of peers in your community
- Receive 35 hours of professional training
- Join a national network of over 60 colleges
- Serve as an AmeriCorps member and receive an education award of $1,000
- Earn your work study award
