Welcome to The Pepperdine Voyage:
A Lilly Endowment Program on Vocation
Welcome to the website of the Pepperdine Voyage, a project made possible through a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment. Through this project, we seek to aid our students in a theological exploration of vocaton. The information below provides a thumbnail sketch of this undertaking.
For more information on the project please view our Introduction or Letters from the Directors.
Purposes:
(1) To encourage students to ask the question of vocation: "What is God's call for my life, and how do I discern that call? How can I understand my career as ministry? And how can I use my natural gifts and talents to serve other human beings, especially the poor and dispossessed?"
(2) To encourage students to recognize possible calls to formal ministries in the context of the church.
