National Endowment for the Humanities — The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) serves and strengthens our republic by promoting excellence in the humanities and conveying the lessons of history to all Americans.
National Endowment for the Humanities (Collaborative Research Grants) 
National Institutes of Health — The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation's medical research agency - supporting scientific studies that turn discovery into health. NIH's mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability.
