Office of the President
Led by President Jim Gash (JD '93), the Pepperdine University Office of the President is responsible for the strategic leadership of the institution. President Gash and his leadership team provide key oversight for the University through major initiatives that support the University's Christian mission and reputation, strengthen student learning and scholarship, enhance faculty research and recruitment, and develop new resources that advance its vision to become a premier, global, Christian university.
President Jim Gash
Jim Gash began his term as the eighth president and chief executive officer of Pepperdine on August 1, 2019. Recognized internationally for his transformative work in international justice reform, Gash has devoted himself to advancing the rule of law in developing countries and, since 2010, has visited Uganda nearly 30 times with Pepperdine students and alumni to support the country's judiciary in deeply impactful ways.
