Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (EDI SURF)
The EDI SURF grant will be available to one faculty-student research collaboration team whose research falls into the category of the scholarship of equity, diversity, and inclusion. The student will receive a $2,500 stipend, a $1,000 housing, and meal allowance. The faculty member will receive a $1,000 stipend for the summer and a $500 supply fund that may be used to support the research project (e.g., books, supplies, and equipment). Student recipients will be expected to present the results of their research project at Seaver's annual research symposium.
The proposals should include a brief description of the research questions from which students may choose, a budget, a proposed schedule for the project, the number of students that will participate, and an assessment plan.
Proposals for this project as well as a current C.V. should be submitted via the Internal Research Programs - Application Form by February 5, 2025. Decisions on awards will be made and notification letters sent by April. Upon receipt of an award, a SURP Course Contract must be completed for each student participant and submitted to Sevana Hanneyan. Funded projects will be expected to complete the Internal Research Report Form by August 15, 2025.
