Community Belonging Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (CB SURF)
The Community Belonging (CB) SURF grant will be available to one faculty-student research collaboration team whose research falls into the category of the scholarship of community belonging. The student will receive a $2,500 stipend, a $1,000 housing, and meal allowance. The faculty member will receive a $1,000 stipend for the summer and a $500 supply fund that may be used to support the research project (e.g., books, supplies, and equipment). Student recipients will be required to present their research at Seaver College's annual Research and Scholarly Achievement Symposium in Spring 2027.
The proposals should include a brief description of the research questions from which students may choose, a budget, a proposed schedule for the project, the number of students that will participate, and an assessment plan.
Proposals for this project as well as a current C.V. should be submitted via the Internal Research Programs - Application Form by February 11, 2026. Decisions on awards will be made and notification letters sent by April. Funded projects will be expected to complete the Internal Research Report Form by August 15, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact Sevana Hanneyan in the Office of Research, Grants, and Foundation Relations.
