Harris Manchester College Summer Research Institute

Harris Manchester College in the University of Oxford

With the support of the Provost, Pepperdine University participates in the annual Harris Manchester College Summer Research Institute. A week-long, invitation-only research institute hosted by Harris Manchester College with academic attendees from around the world, covering a range of disciplines. Our membership means that one tenure/tenure-track faculty member will pursue their research interests for a period of one week in the academic environment of Harris Manchester College in the University of Oxford. According to the Harris Manchester College Summer Research Institute website, "The week is an oasis for academics to research, write, and think in the peaceful academic setting of the College and with the extraordinary facilities, archives, and libraries that Oxford can offer. Alongside access to libraries and I.T. support, delegates will be offered expert personal assistance in planning and organizing the week."

Fellowship

The individual will be provided with en-suite accommodation, all meals, and access to the college and university libraries during the week and will also be accredited with the status of Visiting Fellow of Harris Manchester College. The successful applicant will also have their airfare and other travel expenses paid for by the Office of the Vice Provost. The designated week for the upcoming summer is July 2025. Funded projects will be expected to complete the Internal Research Report Form by August 15, 2025.
