I started using my sewing skills and resources to make protective masks to make N95
masks last longer. I joined the Stitched Together Facebook Group - in two weeks time,
independent sewistas from their home have sewn and delivered 10,000 masks to health
professionals and first responders and other at risk citizens.
My goal is to show that any skill can be helpful, and I will continue sewing masks
from my home to help combat this virus. This is a historic event that requires exceptional
response from every citizen, and I am in awe of the bravery of the front line of nurses
and doctors and other health care providers and honoring them.
