A Global Stage for the Atlantic Strategy: Vevey, Switzerland

Pepperdine Château d'Hauteville campus

Our forums at Pepperdine University's Château d'Hauteville campus in Vevey, Switzerland, focus on what we see as the most pressing issues for the transatlantic community—whether they are an ongoing crisis or an emerging challenge. We bring together a curated mix of policy makers, business leaders, and research experts who collaborate by focusing on finding solutions and opportunities, not just understanding problems. Drawing on insight from dozens of experienced experts, scholars, and current and former senior officials, our deliberations assess the current situations and the need for future actions.

In addressing issues that affect freedom, security, and prosperity, we seek to build a community of interest dedicated to working in trust and confidence for the cause of advancing human flourishing in the transatlantic space.

In 2026, we plan to take on the "Atlantic Strategy." Unprecedented challenges require unprecedented joint action in the Atlantic World, which entails nation states in Europe, the African continent, North America, and South America. Like the United States’ highly developed strategy for the Indo-Pacific region, the Atlantic Strategy must be more than simply a project dictated from Washington. Indeed, leadership is needed from many places; it is also needed from many levels, especially sub-national actors. Across the Atlantic world, there are overlapping spheres of influence in political circles, business communities, and civil society that share a common goal of promoting human flourishing and safeguarding peoples and institutions against malign influences. This forum seeks to clarify challenges and frame the common basket of solutions that will comprise efforts to ensure a free, safe, and prosperous Atlantic World.

In addition to the annual forum, we conduct meetings throughout the year, tapping the wisdom and energy of our growing Vevey community and also promoting an active solution-oriented agenda.
