Appellate Attorney Mary-Christine Sungaila to Lead Discussion at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law

A shareholder in the Orange County office of Buchalter, Mary-Christine Sungaila is a highly regarded appellate attorney and Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipient. Sungaila will lead a discussion at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law on the Zoom platform on Monday, November 2, at 12:35 PM PST

Sungaila has handled more than 50 pro bono appeals, advanced important rights for women and girls, succeeded in recovering stolen Holocaust art, and protected rights of gay and transgender asylum seekers. In addition to her receipt of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, she has been recognized for her professional achievements and humanitarian work by California Women Lawyers, the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
