Author and Historian Tim Snyder Presents Holocaust Lecture at Diane and Guilford Glazer Institute for Jewish Studies

The Pepperdine University Diane and Guilford Glazer Institute for Jewish Studies[BROKEN LINK] presents author and historian Tim Snyder, who will discuss his latest book, Black Earth: The Holocaust as History and Warning, in the Surfboard Room on the Malibu campus on Monday, March 21, at 12 noon.

Snyder is a history professor at Yale University, with expertise in the history of Eastern and Central Europe, as well as the Holocaust. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Conscience of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Modern European History and East European Politics and Societies.

Founded in 2008, the Diane and Guilford Glazer Institute for Jewish Studies was established based on the understanding that Pepperdine students are especially open to discussions of faith and identity, but are often unacquainted with Christianity’s historical and ongoing relationship with Judaism. The Institute provides new avenues for students to explore the intersection of Judaism and Christianity through various opportunities, both curricular and cocurricular.
