Annual Pepperdine Caruso School of Law Dinner to Welcome Featured Guest Justice Amy Coney Barrett

Freedom in Truth: Caruso School of Law Dinner

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, the Caruso School of Law will host alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends throughout the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law community for the Freedom in Truth: Caruso School of Law Dinner, a celebration of the law school’s past successes and exciting future ahead, at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. The evening’s featured guest, Justice Amy Coney Barrett of the Supreme Court of the United States, will join Paul Caron, the Duane and Kelly Roberts Dean of the Caruso School of Law, and law professors Babette Boliek and Trey Childress in conversation.

Amy Coney BarrettBorn in New Orleans, Louisiana, Barrett was nominated by president Donald J. Trump to the Supreme Court of the United States and took her seat on October 27, 2020. She was appointed a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in 2017. She served as a law clerk for Judge Laurence H. Silberman of the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit from 1997 to 1998 and for Justice Antonin Scalia of the Supreme Court of the United States during the 1998 term. Following two years in private law practice in Washington, DC, Barrett became a law professor, joining the faculty of Notre Dame Law School in 2002.

The annual Caruso School of Law dinner is one of the law school’s most significant and prestigious events. The dinner presents an important opportunity for Pepperdine’s law school community to celebrate student success, demonstrate the school’s progress and commitment to the Pepperdine mission, and build enthusiasm for its vision.
