Dean Paul Caron Reappointed Duane and Kelly Roberts Dean of Pepperdine Caruso School of Law
On Friday, August 21, 2026, following a five-year review, dean Paul L. Caron was reappointed as the Duane and Kelly Roberts Dean of Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Caron will continue to lead the law school in fulfilling its academic mission and advancing its strategic priorities.
"I celebrate Dean Caron’s compelling vision for the Caruso School of Law, aspiring to become the preeminent global Christian law school and partnering exceptionally high standards of academic excellence with Christian values," shared provost Jay Brewster in a statement. "With this five-year renewal, I look forward to the school’s continued progress and accomplishments under his leadership."
Since 2017, Caron’s leadership has been transformative for the Caruso School of Law, fostering a rigorous academic environment that attracts top-tier students. His tenure has driven consistent improvements in rankings and student outcomes while cultivating an exceptional faculty renowned for classroom excellence and scholarly influence. Under his guidance, the law school has emerged as a key contributor to the progress of Pepperdine University's Ascend 2030 strategic plan.
