Former FEMA Administrator Brock Long to Explore Emergency Management


Brock LongBrock Long, executive chair of Hagerty Consulting and former administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) within the United States Department of Homeland Security, will present “Emergency Management 2.0” at The L.A. Grand Hotel Downtown on Tuesday, September 24, from 8 to 11 AM. This event is organized through the partnership between the Pepperdine School of Public Policy and Homeland Security Advisory Council, and is part of the school's Distinguished Speaker Series.

Long will discuss his time at FEMA, the community lifelines, FEMA's Strategic Plan, a culture of preparedness, and the future of emergency management. He will also share the successes he achieved, challenges he encountered, and the lessons he learned throughout his service at FEMA.
