Graduate School of Education and Psychology to Host Women in Leadership Event

As part of the Margaret J. Weber Distinguished Lecture Series, the Graduate School of Education and Psychology will host Women in Leadership: Navigating Through Power Structures, Personal Challenges, and a Pandemic via Zoom on Thursday, March 11, at 5:30 PM PST. The event will feature a dynamic panel of female leaders who will explore their experiences and perspectives to inspire all genders, and offer advice pertaining to professional growth, expanding network, and accessing resources. 

Stacy D. Phillips, family law attorney and partner at Blank Rome, LLP, will moderate the discussion. The panel will share insights from successes and setbacks in the workplace and in life. They will also discuss how the pandemic has amplified obstacles and created opportunities that did not previously exist. Attendees will learn strategies for navigating the contours of power related to gender, race, and the political structure in an organization, and the role male advocates and managers play in addressing workplace challenges faced by women and other under-represented employees. The panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer segment.
