Graduate School of Education and Psychology Presents Academic Conference Women in Leadership: Work-Life Balance

The Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) will host the fourth annual academic conference, “Women in Leadership: Work-Life Balance” at The Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza, on March 17 and 18.

“Women in Leadership: Work-Life Balance” brings the visionary stories of women who face different struggles in their leadership roles, both locally and globally. This two-day conference engages scholars and business professionals from all sectors, and welcomes them to share wisdom, create learning opportunities, and improve the future through a psychological theory known as the life course method of identity, an approach that focuses on motivation and drive, relational style, and adaptive style.

International speaker, researcher, and author Angella Nazarian will present this year’s keynote address, “Global Perspectives on Women's Leadership.” Margaret J. Weber, senior fellow at Institute for Global Engagement and former GSEP dean, will serve as the plenary speaker on March 17. Hung Le, associate vice president and university registrar at Pepperdine, will be the plenary speaker on March 18.

This academic conference is part of the Women in Leadership: Work-Life Balance Project, a GSEP initiative led by Weber. The mission of the initiative is to explore the work-life balance issues of women from global perspectives. The movement aims to accomplish this through research, a digital library, and an annual academic conference.

Registration and accommodation rates vary, and tickets are required to attend. For additional information about this conference, and to purchase tickets, visit the GSEP website.
