Gravity-Defying New Shanghai Circus Performs at Smothers Theatre


New Shanghai CircusThe New Shanghai Circus will perform their gravity-defying acrobatics at Smothers Theatre in Malibu on Sunday, January 24, at 3 PM.

The performance will bring together some of the best circus performers and acrobats of China into one spellbinding show. Named the "Best Foreign Production on Broadway" following their 1999 Broadway debut, this troupe executes breathtaking feats as their astounding athletes defy gravity and stretch the limits of human ability.

Showcasing nearly 2,000 years of Chinese acrobat traditions, the New Shanghai Circus performs a variety of acts, including acrobatic recreations of ancient clay sculptures, drum juggling, pole climbing, hoop diving, Sanddorn Balance, silk dancing, and human juggling.
