Maya Angelou Narrated Documentary to be Screened
A screening of the powerful documentary, “As Seen Through These Eyes,” will be hosted by Pepperdine’s Diane and Guilford Glazer Institute for Jewish Studies at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, in Stauffer Chapel.
The film is narrated by the late poet and author Maya Angelou, and recounts the story of how a group of death camp inmates survived the Holocaust through art. The act of creating art, gave the victims a form of psychological and spiritual freedom, allowing them to endure the horrors they experienced in the Nazi concentration camps.
A discussion will follow the screening. The event is free. For more information, please contact Drew Billings or visit the Glazer Institute website[BROKEN LINK].
