Pepperdine Counseling Center Launches Virtual Support Groups and App-Based Services for Students at All Five Schools

Sanvello AppThroughout the spring 2021 semester, the Counseling Center at Pepperdine will offer a variety of virtual psychoeducational workshop and support groups to help students cope with the stress and anxiety of a uniquely challenging time in history—most notably resulting from the coronavirus pandemic, distance learning, racial injustice, and the current political climate. The center offers group support for both undergraduate and graduate students living in California, as well as all international students.

The University has also partnered with Sanvello, a top-rated stress and anxiety management app with more than three million users, to help students track their mood and health habits, practice mindfulness and meditation, and develop positive daily habits to support their mental health needs. Students who create a Sanvello login using their Pepperdine email address will receive free access to all of the app’s premium features.

The Counseling Center encourages students who are experiencing personal, mental, emotional, learning, or behavioral difficulties to take advantage of these services. All information disclosed in group and one-on-one sessions are confidential and may not be revealed to any third parties without the student's written permission, except where required by law.
