Pepperdine Hosts Christian Speaker Francis Chan at 2026 Kingdom Come Conference
The Pepperdine community is invited to attend Kingdom Come, a spiritually transformative conference featuring nationally recognized Christian author and preacher Francis Chan. Taking place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Stauffer Chapel from 9 AM to 1 PM, and hosted by the Hub for Spiritual Life, this event offers an intimate campus experience where attendees can engage with Chan and grow in discipleship. The conference aims to inspire and equip students in their faith through dynamic messages, fellowship, and reflection.
"Kingdom Come provides our community a unique opportunity for spiritual formation and renewal. It creates space for Pepperdine students to encounter Christ together, grow in faith, and discern God’s calling in community," shares Tim Spivey (’97, MS ’00, MDiv ’00), vice president for spiritual life at Pepperdine. "Welcoming Francis Chan to campus invites a bold, gospel-centered challenge to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. I look forward with anticipation to how God will work through this gathering to inspire and transform our campus.”
Chan has been a pastor for more than 30 years. He is a New York Times best-selling author of several books, including Crazy Love, Letters to the Church, and Until Unity. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 30 years and are coauthors of You and Me Forever. Currently Chan is in Northern California teaching and discipling the next generation of pastors and leaders.
The conference will begin with breakfast and refreshments, including lattes and Lily’s breakfast burritos. Worship will be led by WAVES WORSHIP, a musical collective of Pepperdine students, staff, and alumni, followed by a time of teaching and discipleship with Chan. Lunch will also be provided. The event is free, but seating is limited, and early registration is encouraged to secure a spot.
