Pepperdine Student-led Ministries Presents the Nationwide Worship Movement Unite LA

Pepperdine students, as well as college and university students from across Southern California, are invited to Unite LA on September 22, an evening of live worship music, fellowship, and spiritual renewal hosted by UniteUS. 

The first event of its kind on the West Coast, the student-led event will be held at Pepperdine’s Firestone Fieldhouse at 7 PM, featuring music from UPPEROOM WORSHIP, as well as Gospel messages from guest speakers. 

“This event will be a beacon of hope to college students,” says Izzy Latala, lead student organizer of Unite LA. “Not every college student in Southern California has the opportunity to praise Jesus like we do here on campus, and our goal is to extend the hospitality so students can encounter and experience the presence of God here at Pepperdine.”

Unite LA is part of a larger youth revival movement happening on college campuses all across the country, first launched in Auburn, Alabama in 2023, and which has since visited around 24 campuses nationwide. With regard to Gen Z, Latala explains that young people are seeking the hope, direction, peace of spirit, and meaningful community that Christian faith can provide.
