Pepperdine University to Combine Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Winter Wonderland Events

The Pepperdine community will gather for its annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at Mullin Town Square and Adamson Plaza at the Malibu campus on Friday, December 3 from 6 to 8 PM. Following the first 30 minutes of the ceremony, the University’s Student Programming Board will present the holiday-themed tradition, Winter Wonderland featuring a gingerbread house competition and a variety of other entertainment-based activities.

Jaye Goosby Smith, Pepperdine University’s inaugural vice president for community belonging and chief diversity officer, will deliver a devotional message during the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. The Pepperdine Pick Ups and Won By One will lead the crowd in singing some of the most popular and beloved Christmas carols, and  Alumni Affairs will host their annual alumni reception at the event.

Upon the conclusion of the ceremony, the crowd will be directed to enter the adjacent Winter Wonderland area, where the Student Government Association will provide tea and coffee to guests in attendance.
