Pepperdine student Nolan Gentile featured in The College Tour episode

Pepperdine University was featured in episode four of season eight of The College Tour, an award-winning series that presents guided campus tours through the lens of a school’s current students. Now available to stream on The College Tour website and Amazon Prime Video, the episode features 10 Seaver College students as they demonstrate their Waves pride and discuss how Pepperdine has strengthened their lives through leadership and service opportunities rooted in spiritual life experiences, hands-on research projects, community outreach activities, athletics programs, and transformative international programs.

“The students featured in the episode represent the wide variety of interests, goals, and academic pursuits we are proud to offer at Pepperdine,” shares Kristy Paredes Collins ('04, MA '07), dean of enrollment management at Seaver College and associate provost of University financial assistance. “I am hopeful that, in addition to prospective students and families, that alumni will also enjoy getting to meet these students and reminiscing about studying abroad, walking on lower dorm road, and attending classes.”

Students featured in the episode include Thomas Monthofer, a sophomore business administration major, Olivia Miller, a senior finance major; Houston Mallette, a sophomore sports administration major; Ronald (RJ) Wicks, a junior political science major with a certificate in conflict management; Katai Mutale, a senior communication studies major; Michael Sugimoto, a sophomore double majoring in political science and sociology; Charlotte Davis, a senior international studies major with an emphasis in global politics and minor in German; Nolan Gentile, a senior biology major; Claire Everbach, a sophmore communications studies major; and Gabrielle Salgado, a sophomore journalism major with a concentration in psychology.

Hosted by executive producer and Amazing Race winner Alex Boylan, the show premiered in 2020 to help guide students as they explore prospective colleges and share firsthand accounts of life on campuses across the country. Pepperdine’s episode is available to watch now on The College Tour website and Amazon Prime Video.
