Pepperdine University Students to Premiere Short Films at 14th Annual ReelStories Film Festival

January 26, 2023 – Malibu, CA – The 14th Annual ReelStories Film Festival (RSFF14) will be hosted at Pepperdine University on Friday, February 3 from 6-10 PM. This exciting red carpet premiere event has showcased student filmmaking and creative talent since it was established in 2009 by the Student Programming Board.

“As both a film student and a member of the Board here at Pepperdine, I find it important that there is an opportunity for students to showcase their hard work, passion, and talent on campus each year,” said Abby Brown, RSFF14 co-executive director and junior at Pepperdine. “I look forward to celebrating film alongside my peers again this year!”

RSFF14 gives undergraduate college students the opportunity to convey powerful messages through the art of film. This year's theme, Timeless: Stories That Live On, will feature enduring and meaningful stories from both personal and imaginative student perspectives.

“I believe that truth and love can be shared through stories,” said Claire Lee, RSFF14 co-executive director and senior at Pepperdine. “While the mode of storytelling has transformed over time, the impact is still the same–people remember stories. This film festival provides an opportunity for students to share stories from their hearts and for all members of the audience to better understand themselves and each other. I love the ReelStories Film Festival!”
