Pepperdine University Hosts Alumni Art Showcase

August 3, 2023 – Malibu, CA – Seaver College Alumni Relations and Pepperdine Libraries are pleased to host the Pepperdine Alumni Art Showcase (PAAS) in Fall 2023. The exhibit will showcase Pepperdine alumni artists' best 2D works in Payson Library. The exhibition will run for approximately five weeks from September 22 through October 29, 2023. 

"Seaver Alumni Relations and Pepperdine Libraries are so thrilled to bring back our alumni artists to campus,” said Esther Chung, manager of Alumni Engagement. “This is our fourth iteration of our Alumni Art Showcase, and we're excited to share our alumni's incredible talent with the Pepperdine community. We are indebted to Shannon Celia ('92) for her work in establishing this exhibition series."

There will also be a PAAS reception at Waves Weekend on October 7 to connect with alumni artists and recognize top submissions.

"As the co-founder of the Pepperdine Alumni Art Showcase, it is my great privilege to encourage all Pepperdine artists to join the fun as the exhibit continues to grow and thrive,” said Shannon Celia. “I'm excited to be a part of the 2023 exhibit this fall, and I hope alumni from all schools attend the reception on October 7! It’s a wonderful way to connect with other artists who share the joy of creating and being a Pepperdine Wave. We’ve had so many styles, mediums, and sizes in past exhibits, and I can’t wait to feast my eyes on every single piece.”
