University Statement: Pepperdine University mourns the passing of Tad Taube

Malibu, CA - Pepperdine University mourns the passing of Tad Taube, a visionary philanthropist whose life of generosity and conviction strengthened institutions and inspired generations. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Dianne, to the Taube family, and to all who knew and loved him.

Tad believed that free people, grounded in faith, learning, and service, can shape a better world. That vision now lives on at Pepperdine through the Taube Family Chair of International Relations and Politics at the School of Public Policy and through the University’s Institute for Diplomacy, Security, and Innovation—enduring testaments to his commitment to academic excellence and democratic ideals.We are grateful for Taube Philanthropies’ partnership and friendship, and we honor his remarkable legacy at Pepperdine and beyond. May God comfort Dianne and the entire Taube family in this season of grief.
