What

Recognizing the current global and national focus on COVID-19 vaccines, the next Pepperdine President’s Speaker Series event, “Vaccines: Where Are We and Where Are We Going?”, is a timely opportunity to hear from some of the leading experts in the field about the current state of the vaccines. Panelists will share their professional knowledge and experience with these vaccines and what society might expect from vaccines in the future.

Who

Dee Anna Smith (’86), CEO of Sarah Cannon and Pepperdine Board of Regents chair, will moderate a discussion between:

  • Stéphane Bancel, CEO of Moderna
  • Stephen M. Hahn, former commissioner of food and drugs at the US Food and Drug Administration
  • Jonathan B. Perlin, president of the clinical services group and chief medical officer of HCA Healthcare
