Pepperdine University Seeks Volunteers for Westminster Free Clinic’s Easter Egg Hunt

March 15, 2023 – Malibu, CA – Pepperdine University’s department of Community Engagement and Service is seeking volunteers for Westminster Free Clinic’s upcoming Easter Egg Hunt. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 29, and volunteers should arrive in Thousand Oaks at 3:00 PM.

This opportunity is suited for those interested in volunteering with children ages 2-12. Volunteers will continuously hide candy-filled easter eggs for all attending children to find while parents and caregivers receive free items. No previous experience is required, and all are welcome to volunteer at the event. Required waivers will be available on-site.

Westminster Community Care Center, founded in 1994 as Westminster Free Clinic (WFC), is a grassroots healthcare provider that is driven and empowered by volunteers. It offers basic non-invasive health, mental health, dental and vision care, at or near locations where large numbers of uninsured people live or are marginally housed. Pepperdine University has been partnering with WFC on community outreach efforts since fall 2022 with its medical scribing program.

“Working with the Westminster Clinic is always wonderful,” said Charlie Markham, student staff at Community Engagement and Service. “Their special events like this one help bring together a great community to provide joy and tangible help through free groceries, clothes, and books to those who need them.”
